Sony recently launched VAIO Duo 11 for Windows 8, a new uniquely designed Ultrabook convertible which the company claims as a "clever Surf Slider" design. Sony VAIO Duo 11 transforms effortlessly from a full HD Laptop to touchscreen tablet with a simple sweep. The 11.6 inch screen slides up to reveal a backlit keyboard underneath, making it a full fledged laptop. Sony VAIO Duo 11 sports a 11.6 inch Full HD (1920x1080) LED backlit display with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for excellent wide angle viewing and comes with a Digitizer stylus. The display is scratch resistant and offers clear and sharp images even in bright daylight. Sony VAIO Duo 11 runs on 1.9GHz 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3517U processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM to offer superior multitasking performance. The hybrid is also available with Intel Core i3-3217U / i5-3317U processor. The VAIO Duo 11 features a pair of 2.4 MP Full HD web cameras and comes in two storage options - 128GB/256GB SSD. Sony VAIO Duo 11 communicates with the external world via Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 1000BASE-T/100BASE-TX/10BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet LAN, but lacks cellular connectivity. Only 4 hrs battery, very poor. and nearly 3 lbs, my god. what does sony thinks. does it worth the money to carry a heavy tab around, that to without LTE/3G. Waste of money.. good luck next time sony.

ReplyDeleteI think people don't get, the desktop replacement for under 3lbs. It is not a toy iPad, it is a computer that runs full blown software that can be used for art work.
