Nokia adds 2 new Dual SIM phones in its Mobile portfolio, Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206. These are the first models from Nokia to include its Slam feature for sharing multimedia contents like photos and videos with nearby friends instantly. The Slam feature works with Bluetooth connectivity, but here pairing of devices is not required and also the recipient need not have Slam feature. Currently Slam feature is not supported by Apple's iPhone and Windows Phone based handsets.
Nokia Asha 205 Dual SIM
The Nokia Asha 205 sports a 2.4 inch, 240x320 pixels, 65k colors LCD display with Landscape orientation. It has a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated Facebook button. Asha 205 features a 0.3 megapixels VGA camera with 640x480 pixels resolution and comes with a 1020 mAh BL-5C battery and offers up to 11 hours of talk time.
Nokia 206 Dual SIM
The Nokia 206 comes with a 2.4 inch, 240x320 pixels, 65k colors LCD display with Portrait orientation. Unlike Asha 205, it features a classic alphanumeric keypad. The 1.3 megapixels camera comes with a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels and the 1110 mAh BL-4U battery offers up to 20 hours of talk time.
Both Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206 supports EDGE/EGPRS (2G) and has 64 MB internal storage that can be expanded up to32GB with MicroSD card. These phones come with Nokia Xpress Internet platform that reduces data consumption by up to 90% using Nokia's cloud technology. Other features include Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, 2.0 mm Charger Connector and 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia Asha 205 is 13 mm thick and weighs 94 g, while the Nokia 206 is 12.4mm thick and weighs 91 g.
Priced at around $62 (Rs.3400 INR) excluding taxes, both these phones are also available in single SIM versions and are expected to hit stores in the fourth quarter of 2012.
