ASUS Unveils Transformer AiO – 18.4 inch, Desktop cum Tablet Hybrid Running Android and Windows 8 OS

ASUS Transformer AiO P1801
ASUS, known for technological innovations, unveils Transformer AiO P1801 at CES 2013. The Transformer All-in-One PC comes with a detachable 18.4-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display that doubles as a standalone tablet.

ASUS Transformer AiO is powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors with NVIDIA GT 730M graphics and runs Windows 8 OS in Desktop mode. When the display is undocked from its base unit, it transforms into an 18.4 inch tablet that carries its own NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor.

The standalone tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, however there is an option to stream Windows 8 OS from the base station to the tablet using a direct Wi-Fi connection. The transition between Windows 8 OS and Android 4.1 OS happens at the touch of a small blue OS switch on the right.

ASUS Transformer AiO features SonicMaster audio technology that enhances the listening experience. The integral handle behind the display makes it easy to carry the king size tablet while on-the-move. There’s also a built-in stand that keeps the display at the perfect angle for Tabletop use.

Asus Transformer AiO P1801 will cost $1,299 for a base model with a Intel Core i3 processor. It is expected to ship starting Q1 2013. Currently there are no details available regarding internal storage, RAM and battery life.
