Lenovo unveils its new windows 8 convertible ThinkPad Helix at CES 2013. The new laptop cum tablet was recently spotted at FCC. Lenovo ThinkPad Helix is aimed at business class users and it combines the power of full fledged PC and the convenience of a tablet. It transforms into a tablet when detached from its keyboard dock.
The device flaunts an 11.6 inch capacitive MultiTouch IPS display that offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (full HD). It comes with a digitizer pen for precision input and to convert handwriting to digital text. Lenovo ThinkPad Helix is equipped with 3rd generation Intel Core processor (i3/i5/i7) and can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD storage.
Being a business class device, it comes with various advanced security features like BIOS encryption, Kensington Lock port, Computrace support and TPM chip. Lenovo ThinkPad Helix offers mobile connectivity via 4G-LTE, 3G, NFC and Wi-Fi.
Other features include a 5MP rear camera, 2.1MP front facing camera, two USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 port, and a Mini DisplayPort. The Windows 8 convertible offers up to 10 hours of battery life with its keyboard dock.
