Apple announced its iPad 4 with Retina display last October, now the company is gearing up to unveil its fifth-generation iPad, aka iPad 5.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities, Apple iPad 5 will feature thinner bezels around the screen similar to the iPad mini and will be 15 percent thinner and 25 percent lighter than iPad 4. It will be equipped with Apple A7X quad-core processor alongside 1-2GB of RAM and come with storage options of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Like its progenitor, the iPad 5 will support 4G-LTE bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with Lightning Connector and is also expected to sport a 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP HD front facing camera.
Apple iPad 5 will feature the latest GF2 display technology, which reduces the screen thickness and consume less power. So Apple may house a 25-30% smaller battery capacity at 8,500-9,000mAh and the number of cells may also be reduced to two from three.
