HTC unveils Desire Q with 4-inch Display Running Android ICS with HTC Sense

HTC Desire Q

Earlier this week, HTC unveiled the Desire P, a mid-range Android Smartphone in Taiwan. Now the company has announced Desire Q, an entry level Smartphone with specs similar to the Desire U, which was announced earlier this year.

HTC Desire Q flaunts a 4-inch, WVGA (480x800 Pixels) capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by 1GHz single core processor alongside 512 MB of RAM. Under the hood it runs Android 4.0 with HTC Sense and has 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB with MicroSD.

In terms of cellular network connectivity, HTC Desire Q supports dual-band 3G-HSPA (900/2100 MHz) and tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz). There is also a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, capable of recording videos at WVGA resolution. Other specs include WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port, GPS and 1650 mAh battery.

HTC Desire Q comes in three color options - Black, White and Red. It carries a price tag of NT$6990 (~USD $230) and is currently available in Taiwan. There's no official statement regarding the global availability of the device.
