Apple iOS 7 - Features and Release Date

Apple is working hard to bring its latest Mobile Operating System - iOS 7 on time. The new iOS is expected to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple's designer-in-chief, Jony Ive has shunned the skeuomorphic design that has been there since the inception of iOS. The new OS will sport a flatter design that resembles Microsoft's Windows Phone. The new design is based on simplicity and will lose all signs of gloss, shine and skeuomorphism.

The new interface will include newly designed tool bars, tab bars and icon set, but its core apps and system fundamentals will operate in a similar way like its previous versions. Codenamed "Innsbruck", iOS 7 may not be difficult to use for existing iPhone users. Rumors also suggest that iOS 7 will feature a new "glance-able" information and system options panels, like Notification Center.

Apple is expected to announce the new OS in June this year at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The company is also speculated to launch a new iPhone running on its latest iOS 7 operating system.
