A mysterious tablet called K009, has been filed with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by ASUS. The tablet is also listed on Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) and is widely speculated to be the second generation Nexus 7.

The Bluetooth SIG listing shows that the K009 tablet will sport a 7-inch LED-backlit capacitive MultiTouch display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quad-core CPU. The FCC filing spills some more information about the specs, which include a 5MP rear camera, a 1.2MP front camera, 32GB of storage and a 15Wh Li-ion battery.

Interestingly, the FCC filing says it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ-8064) CPU instead of the Snapdragon 600 CPU indicated by the Bluetooth SIG. The ASUS K009 may also be equipped with LTE. However, the company has not mentioned a word of it.
