Samsung has officially announced the much rumored Samsung GALAXY S4 Active. The Smartphone comes with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. It is expected to rival Xperia Z, a waterproof and dust proof Smartphone from Sony.
The GALAXY S4 Active has almost the same specs as the GALAXY S4, except for the display technology and camera. It sports a TFT LCD display instead of the Super AMOLED display and the rear camera is downgrade to 8MP. The camera comes with a unique 'Aqua Mode' for enhancing the visual quality and clarity of the underwater images and video.

Running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), the Smartphone comes with Samsung's Air View for previewing the content of an email without opening it and Air Gesture for scrolling with a simple wave of the hand. In addition it comes pre-installed with Samsung Hub, ChatON messanger, S Health, S Translator, S Travel and WatchON IR app.
For connectivity, it has LTE, 3G-HSPA, Wi-Fi ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, USB 2.0 and IrDA. In terms of measurements, it is slighter larger (139.7 x 71.3 x 9.1mm) and heavier (151 g) than the original GALAXY S4.
