After a series of leaks and rumors , Google has finally unveiled its new Nexus 7 tablet at an event in San Francisco. It will be the first device to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

The new Nexus 7 tablet boasts a 7-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels at 323 PPI. It also packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1.5GHz and backed by 2GB of RAM. Measuring just 8.65mm inches thick at 0.64 pounds, the new tablet is sleeker and more powerful than its predecessor.

The tablet is equipped with a rear 5MP autofocus camera and 1.2MP front facing camera. For richer sound experience, it has dual stereo speakers. The battery offers enough juice for up to 10 hours for Web browsing. For connectivity, it has Dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC (Android Beam). Those who prefer high speed internet, there's also an LTE-enabled version.

Google's new Nexus 7 will hit stores from July 30th. The 16GB (Wi-Fi only) version will retail for $229, while the 32GB (Wi-Fi only) version costs $269. The LTE-enabled version will ship at a later date and will be priced at $349 for a 32GB variant.
