Chinese manufacturer ZTE has announced that it would start selling the world's first commercial Firefox OS Smartphone - the ZTE Open, on the ZTE store on eBay US and UK. The device was earlier launched in Spain with Spanish telecoms major Telefonica.

In a press release, Mr. Dai Wenhong, VP of ZTE Corporation said, "The ZTE Open offers customers a Smartphone experience at an incredible price point, making it ideal for cost conscious consumers or those looking to upgrade to a Smartphone for the first time.”

The ZTE Open comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter, location-based services like Nokia HERE maps. In addition, there are many apps available on the Firefox Marketplace, which includes Wikipedia, SoundCloud, CNNMoney, eBay, The Weather Channel, and much more.

ZTE Open will be available in Orange color with a price tag of $79.99 in the US and £59.99 in the UK. The device will be unlocked to allow use on all mobile networks.
