LG Electronics, as reported earlier, joins the curved display Smartphone bandwagon with its new launch - the G Flex. Unlike the Samsung made Galaxy Round, which is curved horizontally, LG G Flex is curved vertically. As a result, the distance between one's mouth to the microphone is reduced, which in turn increases the sound level by 3dB when compared to typical flat Smartphones.
LG G Flex flaunts a 6-inch HD (1280 x 720), Curved Plastic OLED (POLED) display, which is built on plastic panel instead of glass. The display is made using Real RGB technology that packs all three sub-pixels (red, green and blue) in one pixel, making it brighter and more precise.
The Smartphone features a new "Self-Healing" coating on the back cover, which has the ability to recover from the daily wear-and-tear scratches and nicks that un-cased Smartphones are likely to receive. Like the G2, the phone also features unique Rear Key concept with the main buttons on the back.
LG G Flex packs a 2.26GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974) processor alongside Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. For connectivity, it supports 4G-LTE, 3G-HSPA+, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth v4.0, USB 3.0 and NFC. Among other specs, it includes 32GB internal storage, MicroSD slot, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera and a 3,500mAh battery.
