Samsung has outlined the features of Tizen 3.0 OS at the Tizen Developer Summit in Seoul, Korea. The company has also announced Tizen 2.2.1 OS with many new features in privacy control and system framework including an option to install app in the SD card and Firmware download supports the USB.org framework test tool and Mac OS X.
The Tizen 3.0 release will pack a bunch of new features which includes Core OS and toolchain update, multiple user support with protection, 64-bit architecture support, 3D UI framework, WayLand based compositor, and HTML5 based application runtime built in open source.
The final public release of Tizen 3.0 is expected in Q3 of 2014. Samsung NX-300M camera that is already on sale in Korea, is the first Tizen OS based device. There's no word on Tizen based Smartphone, but it is rumored for an early 2014 launch.
