ASUS Unveils ZenFone 5 with 5-inch HD Display, 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 CPU and Android 4.4

Alongside the ZenFone 6, ASUS shows off the ZenFone 5 at the CES 2014. Running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, it features the new ZenUI user interface. The company has also promised a KitKat upgrade.

Like its big brother, the ZenFone 5 features almost similar specs, except the display real-estate and camera. It boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it packs a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 CPU with Quad-Thread Hyper-Threading technology, 1GB of RAM, 8MP autofocus BSI rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and a 2050mAh battery. The connectivity options include 3G-HSPA+, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and MicroUSB 2.0.
