LG forays into the wearable fitness market at the CES 2014 with the Lifeband Touch fitness wristband. Launched to rival Sony's SmartBand, it sports an OLED panel that offers a quick view of incoming calls, music controls, and other notifications.
The wearable can also keep track of standard workout metrics such as steps taken, distance covered, Speed and calorie consumption. The details are synced with Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth 4.0. In addition to the LG Lifeband Touch, the company has also launched Heart Rate Monitor earphones, which uses an optical sensor technology to track heartbeats by monitoring the user's blood flow in the ear.
LG Lifeband Touch wristband comes only in black color option. The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.
