After months of rumors and speculations, Amazon has finally unveiled its first ever Smartphone at an event in Seattle. Dubbed as the Fire Phone, it features 3D interface to create an illusion of a 3D display. The Smartphone uses four motion sensing cameras at the front to offer Dynamic Perspective for 3D experience.
Amazon Fire Phone sports a 4.7-inch HD LCD touch screen, which offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 315 ppi. Running on the company's own Android based Fire OS 3.5.0, it Smartphone packs a 2.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor alongside Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The device will ship with two storage options - 32GB and 64GB. In addition to the internal memory, it offers free cloud storage for all Amazon content, and photos taken with Fire phone.
At the back, it sports a 13MP auto focus, multi-frame HDR camera with optical image stabilization, f/2.0 5-element wide aperture lens and LED flash. There's also a 2.1 MP front-facing camera for video chat. For audio playback, it comes with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Digital Plus audio processing. The connectivity options include 4G-LTE, 3G-HSPA+, Quad-band GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 3.0, NFC, Micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and GLONASS. It is powered by a 2400mAh battery that offers up to 22 hours of talk time and up to 285 hours of standby time.
Apart from Dynamic Perspective, Amazon Fire Phone also features Firefly technology. The Firefly identifies printed text, books, Movies, Music, Phone numbers, QR codes and much more. The Firefly technology uses the phone's camera and microphone to recognize over 100 million objects. There's a dedicated button to activate Firefly. Another notable feature is MayDay, which connects the users to an Amazon expert in 15 seconds or less. At present Mayday is available 24x7 and 365 days over the AT&T cellular network.

Amazon Fire Phone carries a price tag of $199 and $299 for the 32GB & 64GB variant with contract from AT&T. It is also available without contract at Amazon store for $649 and $749.
